My Birthday Gift to Her

It is late, and even though I've just arrived home from a date with Seb, I got on the PC, went online and added the finishing touches to my birthday gift for someone who holds a place close to my heart. I know this means a lot to her...just as it is for me.

My dear friend Mayomee celebrates her natal day today. I promised her that this template will be ready on her birthday. And indeed, it is.

It is nearly perfect. Everything seems to be in place and working without a hitch. My wish is that she finds it...perfect for her as well.

Dear Mayo,

When I started work on your template I had only vague ideas. I planned on the light blue that you like (somehow "Hope Blue" comes to mind), but the title of your blog evokes the color green. Finding the right image that goes with both blue and green took a little while. After about an hour of searching, I stumbled upon this picture of lemongrass in glass vases. One look at it and I knew I could achieve a look that reflects the calm and coolness that you love.

Lemongrass is the herb for good health and general wellbeing. It's like...think "vivacity" while maintaining a sense of equanimity.

The image of a "shady spot" wasn't that obvious at first, but while working with the picture, it appeared to me that the soft gray shadow on the foreground is a form of shade.

Subtle suggestions are beautiful, aren't they?

I thought it is the ideal image for you.
